A powerful explosion occurred once again in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, this time originating from inside a shop, causing significant damage and injuring a couple present at the scene. The incident unfolded in the Ganga Zaira area of Sonarpur, where it is believed that the explosion resulted from stored explosive devices.
Shop owner Sujay Mandal and his wife were in the process of opening their shop on Monday morning when a sudden and violent explosion shook the premises. The force of the blast propelled both individuals a staggering 18 feet away from the site. The deafening noise alerted nearby residents who quickly assembled to witness the aftermath, prompting a response from the Narendrapur police station.
The injured couple has been admitted to a private hospital, while authorities are actively investigating the incident.
