A tragic incident occurred in Bihar's Kaimur district on Friday morning when a tourist bus collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of one pilgrim and several injuries. The deceased has been identified as Paali (45), a resident of Sonpur district, Odisha.
As per reports, all the passengers on the tourist bus were from Odisha. The collision took place at approximately 3:00 am as the pilgrims were en route to Varanasi after performing the Pind Daan ritual in Gaya.
Upon receiving the information, both NHAI and the police promptly arrived at the scene. After strenuous efforts, officials managed to rescue the trapped passengers from the bus. The injured were subsequently admitted to the Kudra Primary Health Center for initial treatment. Those with severe injuries were further transferred to Sadar Hospital for medical care.
Following necessary procedures, the body of the deceased woman was sent to undergo a post-mortem examination by Kudra police.
