A horrific road accident took place on Ramgarh-Bokaro NH-23 near Ramgarh Court in Chattarmand on Sunday. Here, the speedster hit the wheel hard from the front. A father cyclist and his son were seriously injured in the accident.
Both were sent to Medanta Hospital in critical condition after first aid at Sadar Hospital with the help of local people. Both father and son died during treatment.
Among the deceased are Bhim Mahto (55) and his son Pradeep Kumar Mehta (22), residents of Kundrukala village in Ramgarh block. Both of them used to come to Ramgarh vegetable market around 4 am to sell vegetables on bikes.
The accident was so serious that the bike flew off after the impact. At the same time, the front part of the car was damaged. The passengers in the car were also injured. The police secured the car and the bike from the accident.
Another incident took place in the Chutupal Valley on the Ranchi-Patna road. The accident happened at a spot marked as the black spot in the valley around 5 am on Sunday.
An uncontrolled trailer coming at high speed from Ranchi hit the trailer from behind. The driver and helper sitting in the cab of the trailer were seriously injured.
After getting information about the incident, Ramgarh police reached the spot and informed the NHAI rescue team. The police also called in a private hydra and, after great effort, brought out the driver and an extra trapped in the cabin of the trailer.
The driver died in the accident. While Tamil Nadu resident Khalasi Subhash Kumar was referred to RIMS in critical condition after first aid at Sadar Hospital.
