NIA searches Saokat Molla’s home and party office, son questioned in Bhangar blast case
A 15-year-old girl whose dismembered body was recovered from a train coach in Lucknow was allegedly murdered by her father over her relationship with a boy from another community, police said. The victim, identified as Shabba, was found on May 17 stuffed inside a tin box abandoned in a sleeper coach at a railway station. Investigators recovered only her torso from the box, while her severed hands and legs were found in a separate bag nearby. Her head was missing at the time of recovery.
According to police, the accused, Biggan Ansari, allegedly killed his daughter after repeatedly objecting to her contact with the boy. Investigators said two of his daughters had earlier left home, and he feared his third daughter would do the same. Police stated that he believed the relationship would affect his social standing and family reputation. During the investigation, officials traced CCTV footage from multiple railway stations and identified three individuals allegedly involved in placing the tin box inside the train compartment.
Police said Ansari allegedly informed his sister Noorjahan and brother-in-law Mujibulla about the plan before carrying out the murder on May 16. Investigators stated that he first sent his wife and two sons to a relative’s house before allegedly killing the teenager inside the home. According to police, the accused later dismembered the body and disposed of the severed head in a pond in the village in an attempt to prevent identification.
Investigators said the torso was packed inside a tin box, while the severed limbs were placed in a separate bag. CCTV footage reportedly showed three people carrying the box into a sleeper coach at Tamkuhi Road Railway Station in Kushinagar district before boarding an adjacent air-conditioned coach. Police stated that the accused later got off the train to avoid suspicion after placing the body parts inside the compartment.
Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested Biggan Ansari in connection with the case. Noorjahan and Mujibulla have also been named as accused in the investigation. Police said further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and examine all evidence linked to the murder and disposal of the body parts.
