A disturbing incident has unfolded in Digha as an allegation of gang rape involving a tourist has surfaced. Reportedly, a woman visiting Digha with a friend fell victim to miscreants who lured her under the pretext of repairing a hotel room.
According to police sources, two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.The victim, accompanied by her friend, was led to an isolated location, forcibly robbed of money and gold jewelry, and subjected to a horrific assault.
The assailants allegedly tied the woman to a tree, assaulted her companion, and dragged her into the forest where she was raped. The incident has ignited concerns about women's safety in Digha, prompting a reevaluation of security measures in the popular coastal city.
