The local police authorities have already issued official legal notices to Ghosh, Sen, and Chatterjee, demanding a formal explanation for initiating structural measurements on a public road without prior administration clearances. The brewing street controversy quickly echoed inside the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Monday, with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari taking sharp, sarcastic digs at the fragmented opposition. Adhikari pointed out that while one faction of the Trinamool Congress claims to be the "real" party, the other has effectively reduced itself to "lampposts."
