A fire broke out on Monday morning at the warehouse of a multinational company located beside Alladi More on Asansol-Chittaranjan Road, under Salanpur police station limits. Local residents first noticed smoke rising from the warehouse and immediately informed the police and fire department.
A fire engine reached the spot and brought the fire under control before it could spread. No injuries were reported. Police personnel cordoned off the area to manage the situation and ensure safety. The fire was doused within a short time, preventing further escalation.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. As of now, the extent of the damage has not been officially assessed. Fire department officials are expected to conduct further inspection for damage estimation and safety review.
