A fire broke out at a shop located inside Mumbai’s busy Churchgate Railway Station on Thursday evening around 5:26 p.m., sparking panic among commuters. Thick plumes of smoke engulfed the premises as onlookers captured chaotic visuals from the site.
Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), police personnel, and local ward officials swiftly responded to the emergency. Firefighting operations were promptly launched, and the blaze was brought under control within minutes. No injuries or casualties were reported.
The fire, which led to brief disruptions and confusion at the station, was confined to a single shop. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident and assess the extent of damage. Civic authorities have confirmed that the situation is now under control and normal operations have resumed.
