Fire broke out in a coach of the Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express while it was passing through Bina city of Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
The fire broke out at the Kuwai Kethora station in Bina, near Bhopal. The train was stopped and all the passengers were safely deboarded as the authorities doused the fire.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Visuals from the spot showed the passengers gathered around the Vande Bharat Express as the battery box of the C-17 coach beside the wheels erupts in flames.
Train 20171 plying from Rani Kamalapati Station in Bhopal to the Nizamuddin Station in Delhi reported a fire in the battery box of a coach. Smoke was seen and the train was stopped at Kurwai Kethora station, a West Central Railway official said. “Fire brigade extinguished the fire and all the passengers are safe. No injuries have been reported…Now the battery box is being electrically isolated and the train will leave for Delhi. The battery box will be examined,” he said.
