Fire burns down at least 4 houses in Madhepura, resident loss over 6 lakhs worth

A massive fire burns down 4-5 houses located in Balam Gadhiya Panchayat Ward No. 5 of Madhepura Sadar Block, resulting in a loss of over 6 lakh rupees. Although the villagers managed to control the fire, everything in those houses had already been reduced to ashes.

According to Ramchandra Yadav, the villagers were engrossed in a Mundanotsav celebration near the house when a spark from a short circuit suddenly caused the fire to break out. The blaze quickly grew out of control but was eventually brought under control with the help of the villagers.

Unfortunately, four to five houses belonging to brothers Ramchandra Yadav and Balbhadra Yadav were completely destroyed. Suman Kumar, Balbhadra Yadav's elder son, works in the electricity department and had collected around 3 lakh rupees in electricity bill payments, which were also destroyed in the fire.

The household belongings, including jewelry, were also destroyed. Balbhadra Yadav has provided some financial assistance and expects to receive compensation from the government. Circle Officer Yogendra Das confirmed that the government will provide compensation once an application is received from the victim.
