On Saturday evening, a minor fire was reported at a cloth godown in Kolkata's Macchua area. According to reports, the fire broke out at 147 MG Road, locally known as Hariapatti. Three fire tenders pressed to charge, and the firefighters managed to douse the flames in a short time.
Till now, no reports of any casualties or injuries have been received. The reason for the fire is believed to be a short circuit, but official confirmation is awaited.
