In a distressing incident that unfolded yesterday, a fire broke out at the Mother Dairy Packet storage facility located in Jalkhola, Mandalpara, within Ward No. 22 of the Maheshtala Municipality. The intensity of the blaze was such that a section of the storage facility collapsed under the pressure of the flames.
During the incident, one worker sustained injuries, prompting local residents to take immediate action by rushing him to the hospital. The incident drew a rapid response from the authorities, with three fire engines and personnel from the Maheshtala police station swiftly arriving at the scene.
