Reconstruction of crime scene in Kasba as probe intensifies in Kolkata college student rape case
A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of Noapada Metro located in Ward No. 18 of Baranagar Municipality, causing chaos and panic in the surrounding area. The incident occurred at around 2:30 pm, and the cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit.
Upon receiving the distress call, the fire department promptly dispatched two fire engines to the spot. The firefighters arrived at the scene within a few minutes and immediately started dousing the flames. The fire was brought under control after an hour of relentless efforts by the fire brigade.
The fire caused extensive damage to the surrounding area, and the nearby shops and houses were also affected. However, due to the timely response by the fire department, there were no casualties reported. The area was cordoned off to ensure the safety of the people and to prevent any untoward incidents.
