Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
A wave of panic swept through Patna’s Musallahpur Haat area on Tuesday following a firing incident outside the coaching center of the highly popular educator, Khan Sir. The area, known as Bihar's premier educational hub, became a crime scene after "anti-social elements" allegedly opened fire, leaving one security guard injured. The guard was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment. While early reports from Khan Sir suggested that eight to ten rounds were fired, he later clarified that he was repeating information provided by his security team during the initial chaos.
The incident appears to be the violent fallout of a bitter rivalry between local coaching institute operators. According to Khan Sir, the trouble began shortly after the Bihar Police recruitment results were announced. As thousands of his students qualified, the educator’s team was reportedly exhausted from the processing work when a group arrived to threaten the staff. Khan Sir has pinned the blame on a rival coaching establishment, suggesting they are intimidated by his institute's significantly lower fees and high success rates.
The situation has escalated beyond a mere physical scuffle, with Khan Sir alleging that the rival group has threatened to "blow up" his coaching center within the next two days. He claimed that the attackers assaulted the guards before opening fire. The Patna police have launched a formal investigation into the matter, examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the individuals involved in the shooting.
