Vandalism in Howrah over controversial painting during Durga Puja; 30 arrested
Adrenaline coursed through a Florida fisherman as he had a heart-pounding encounter with a menacing bull shark during Shark Week. Josh Jorgensen, renowned for his YouTube channel, captured jaw-dropping footage of the predator attacking his friend's fishing boat off the coast of Palm Beach. The incident unfolded as Jorgensen was flying his drone and spotted two massive cobia swimming alongside the formidable bull shark in the crystal-clear waters.
The prospect of catching cobia, known for its delicious taste, lured the attention of the fishermen. Jorgensen swiftly alerted his friend, Carl Torreson, seizing the opportunity to capture the awe-inspiring moment. A drone camera recorded the adrenaline-packed scene as the bull shark targeted Torreson's boat, where people were casting their lines into the water.
The viral footage depicts the bull shark lunging at the stern of the boat, delivering relentless blows to the outboard engines, creating powerful shock waves that shook the vessel. With the ferocity of a predator, the shark attacked the boat five times before momentarily swimming away. However, displaying its tenacity, the determined predator returned for more, striking the boat a total of eight times, leaving everyone stunned.
The intensity of the bull shark attack left Torreson in awe of nature's might. Upon their return to shore, the full extent of the damage became evident. The boat's engines suffered severe destruction, with the center completely ripped out and the trim cover broken. Fortunately, the boat could be salvaged and made ready to set sail once again, thanks to the installation of new parts.
Bull sharks, alongside tiger sharks and great white sharks, are known for being more prone to attacking humans. As medium-sized predators, they can grow up to 11½ feet long and weigh up to 500 pounds. Their aggressive nature and adaptability to diverse environments make them a formidable force to be reckoned with in the waters.
