Four Chinese nationals detained for illegal entry at India-Nepal border in Bihar

Four Chinese nationals were detained by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Wednesday after attempting to illegally enter India via the Nepalese border at Raxaul, Bihar. The individuals, who did not possess valid documents, were intercepted by SSB personnel during a routine patrol. This incident comes amid growing security concerns along India's borders, particularly after the escalating tensions with Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack, which left 26 civilians dead.

The detained individuals were handed over to the local police after initial verification. Investigations are underway to determine the motives behind their attempted infiltration. The heightened scrutiny along the India-Nepal border is a direct result of the increased vigilance following recent tensions between India and Pakistan. Enhanced checks are being conducted on vehicles, and identification documents of travelers are being thoroughly examined.
