The Kanaipur outpost police of Uttarpara police station apprehended four individuals suspected of planning a robbery inside Bengal Shriram Housing. The arrested individuals, identified as Minto Singh, Gajendra Yadav, Kalbindra Singh, and Rahul Prasad, were found in possession of firearms, three laptops, three mobile phones, and numerous SIM cards. Police sources indicate that the arrested criminals hail from different states and had been residing in a rented flat within Hind Motor Housing for approximately a month, raising suspicions among locals.
Acting on information from confidential sources, the Uttarpara police, under the supervision of IC Amitabh Sanyal, conducted a raid led by Kanaipur outpost in-charge Rahul Vishwas on Tuesday night. Upon sight of the police, one suspect attempted to flee by jumping from the first floor but was swiftly apprehended. Subsequently, the police arrested the remaining three individuals from inside the flat, thwarting their alleged robbery attempt.
