Four people killed, six injured in road accident in UP's Banda

Four people died, and six others sustained serious injuries after a Bolero rammed into a Scorpio on Paprenda road in Tindwari police area of Banda district on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred when both these vehicles, part of a wedding procession, were heading to Banda from neighboring Chitrakoot district.

The police went to the scene after being alerted and, with the help of passers-by, pulled out the injured persons wedged in both vehicles. Later, the injured were admitted to the trauma center, where doctors declared the death of four people. The deceased were natives of Niwaich and Piparhari villages in Pailani police station area of Banda district. The accident took place on Paprenda Road under Tindwari Police Station.

They were identified as Kuldeep, Chhotu, Kallu and Umesh. Police said the people traveling in both the vehicles were part of a wedding procession.

"All these people had gone to Chitrakoot to attend the wedding of Rahul, who is a resident of Niwaich, on Wednesday. They were returning from there in separate vehicles on Thursday morning.
