In a concerning development, a new bomb was discovered in front of the residence of BJP Panchayat candidate Pratima Burman in booth number 2 of Dinhata's Burirhat. The incident created a stir in the area, prompting the police to swiftly arrive at the scene and secure the bomb.
Reacting to the incident, Pradeep Burman, BJP's Dinhata assembly co-convener, accused the Trinamool Congress of instilling fear in Burirhat. He asserted that the Trinamool party was attempting to regain control as they realized their position was slipping. Burman emphasized that BJP workers and candidates cannot be silenced through intimidation.
In response, Abdul Sattar, Vice-President of the Trinamool Bloc, refuted the BJP's allegations and deemed them baseless. He counter-alleged that the BJP was accusing the Trinamool of planting the fresh bomb in front of its candidate's house.
As tensions rise in the area, investigations into the incident are expected to be carried out to ascertain the source and motive behind the placement of the bomb.
