Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
On the occasion of Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has started playing devotional Chhath songs at railway stations across the country. The initiative aims to spread the spiritual essence of the festival and offer passengers a sense of home and cultural connection during their journeys.
Major stations like Kolkata, Burdwan, Patna, Danapur, Hajipur, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Sonpur, New Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Anand Vihar Terminal are witnessing a festive ambience as traditional songs fill the platforms. Travellers have welcomed this move, describing it as a heartwarming gesture that blends faith with travel.
In addition to music, the Railways has also made special arrangements to ensure passenger comfort and safety. Dedicated holding areas have been created at key stations, while RPF personnel and CCTV systems have been deployed to maintain security.
Officials said the initiative aims to make the travel experience more meaningful for devotees while promoting the cultural sanctity of Chhath Puja across India’s railway network.
