Vandalism in Howrah over controversial painting during Durga Puja; 30 arrested
In a significant development, the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), a bloc of opposition parties, has taken a collective decision to boycott four television news channels and 14 TV news anchors.
This decision comes in response to their alleged involvement in provocative and communal debate shows, which the opposition leaders claim divert attention from critical national issues. The channels facing this boycott are Times Now, Republic Bharat, Sudarshan News, and Doordarshan. The list consists names of prominent journalist- Aditi Tyagi, Aman Chopra, Amish Devgan, Anand Narasimhan, Arnab Goswami, Ashok Shrivastav, Chitra Tripathi, Gaurav Sawant, Navika Kumar, Prachi Parashar, Rubika Liaquat, Shiv Aroor, Sudhir Chaudhary and Sushant Sinha
During a meeting of the INDIA bloc, the Congress Party released a list of TV anchors designated for boycott, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also sharing a similar list of TV news anchors.

Aaj Tak anchor, Sudhir Chaudhary responded on Twitter, saying that the anchors listed have refused to be "boot lickers" and are now facing a boycott. This list comes after a day Karnataka police registered an FIR against him for allegedly "conspiring to disrupt communal harmony" during one of his shows on Aaj Tak in which he mentioned about the state government’s commercial vehicle subsidy scheme.
