A gang involved in illegally creating Aadhaar cards was caught red-handed in Domjur, West Bengal. Local residents and BJP leaders allege that the head of the gang, Kaushik Chakraborty, is a Trinamool leader. However, the Trinamool MLA of Jagatballabhpur claims Chakraborty is a BJP leader.
Residents complain that Aadhaar cards were being made without proper documents by hacking the UIDAI portal, and the operation had been going on for days at Chakraborty’s house, located behind the BDO office. Acting on a tip-off, Domjur police arrested four individuals, including Chakraborty.
