Gang rape of minor shakes NewTown; accused a Bangladeshi citizen

A sexual exploitation report has been made to the Techno City police station following the gang rape. A 14-year-old minor has been the victim of alleged sexual assault by a citizen of Bangladesh. The accused Sohail Rana was taken into custody by the Techno City police station on Monday night.

The incident happened in the vicinity of Newtown Baliguri. A young man named Sohail Rana, a native of the Ghazipur neighborhood of the Comilla district of Bangladesh, has reportedly been renting a home in the New Town Baliguri region for the past two months, according to police sources. The young man had traveled from Bangladesh to Kolkata for a specific task.

Reportedly, the family alleged that the 14-year-old minor daughter of the owner of the house where Sohail Rana was staying on rent in Newtown Baliguri area was sexually assaulted multiple times over several days.The Baliguri region experienced numerous sexual assaults over several days. Sohail Rana, the accused, started extorting and threatening the child after the torture. Out of fear, the kid was unable to inform anyone in the family. The minor's condition ultimately got worse on Sunday. The family was informed of the entire occurrence after that, and on Monday morning, they filed a written complaint at the Techno City police station.
