Gang war in Ranchi's Doranda leaves several injured; Police detains 6 people

Ranchi's Doranda police station area near Tulsi Chowk was engulfed in tension and chaos on Monday after a violent clash erupted between two rival groups, reportedly orchestrated by members of a local criminal syndicate known as the 'Ali Gang'. The confrontation quickly turned into a severe brawl, injuring several individuals, some critically. The intense fighting and subsequent panic caused a stampede-like situation throughout the locality.

Upon the arrival of heavy police reinforcements from multiple stations, the accused members attempted to flee the scene. In a dramatic turn of events, a suspicious member of the 'Ali Gang', who was wanted in connection with several previous criminal cases, jumped from a rooftop in a desperate attempt to evade arrest. This escape attempt ended badly, as the suspect suffered a severe broken leg, allowing the police to successfully apprehend the wanted individual amid the chaos.

Police quickly cordoned off the entire area and launched an intensive search operation, deploying armed personnel to raid various suspicious locations. Authorities successfully detained nearly half a dozen people for questioning and are currently scrutinising CCTV footage from the locality to identify all the culprits involved in the brawl. Heavy police presence remains deployed in the Doranda area to ensure peace and stability following the violent clash.
