Gauri Khan has been served with a notice by the ED in connection with a financial controversy involving the Lucknow-based real estate company Tulsiani Group. Gauri, who serves as the brand ambassador for the company, faces allegations of embezzling Rs 30 crore, as the Tulsiani Group is accused of duping investors and banks.
The ED notice was issued on Tuesday. Tulsiani Group is under scrutiny for causing a financial loss of approximately Rs 30 crore to investors and banks.
The ED is set to investigate various aspects of Gauri Khan's involvement, including the financial terms of her role as the brand ambassador for Tulsiani Group. Key points of inquiry will involve the funds Gauri received for the endorsement, the contracts related to her position, and other pertinent documents.
Meanwhile, Tulsiani Group faces accusations from a Mumbai-based individual who claims the company failed to deliver a flat, purchased for Rs 85 lakh in 2015, at the Sushant Golf City project in Lucknow. The ED's intervention follows a previous FIR filed by the complainant in March 2023 against Tulsiani Group directors and Gauri Khan.
