Gautam Adani’s son gets engaged in low-key ceremony

Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani's younger son Jeet Adani got engaged to Diva Jaimin Shah, daughter of a diamond merchant, on March 12. The engagement, which took place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was a low-key ceremony with only close friends and family members. in attendance.

Diva Jaimin Shah is the daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah. He owns a diamond company, C Dinesh And Co-Private Limited. The diamond company is based in Mumbai and Surat. It was founded by Chinu Doshi and Dinesh Shah. Jeet Adani completed his studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He joined the Adani Group in 2019 and is currently the Vice President of Group Finance. He started his career in the Group CFO's office where he was involved in strategic finance, capital markets and risk policy and governance.

The Adani Group website states that Jeet also "heads the Adani Airports business as well as Adani Digital Labs – all set to create a super app that caters to all consumers of Adani Group businesses". Gautam Adani's elder son Karan is married to Paridhi Shroff, daughter of Cyril Shroff, who is the managing partner of the Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas law firm. Karan Adani is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adani Ports & SEZ Limited and Director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited.

Jeet Adani's engagement comes at a time when the Adani Group is battling a massive fallout from US short seller Hindenburg Research against the ports-to-power conglomerate.  Adani Group's seven listed companies lost more than $100 billion in market value combined after the US firm allegedly manipulated shares and misused tax havens and raised concerns about debt levels. Adani dismissed the concerns and denied any wrongdoing.
