'Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain' singer Kanhaiya Mittal to join Congress
On Monday, an 18-year-old girl was discovered dead at a dilapidated, vacant building in Mumbai's Sewri. The girl, who had recently eloped with a 15-year-old boy, had been staying in the building with him. The premises, located on the fifth floor of an abandoned structure, had been unoccupied for some time.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Latkar (Port Zone), the couple had left their homes nearly two weeks ago and had been living together in the building.
The initial investigation suggests that the woman may have either fallen or been pushed from the fifth floor, leading to her untimely death. Police have contacted both the girl’s and the boy’s families to inform them of the incident. The case is currently being investigated.
The girl's mother has raised concerns about the minor boy’s involvement in her daughter’s death, expressing suspicion that he might be responsible. However, the boy has maintained that he was asleep at the time of the incident.
Reportedly, the boy has stated that he searched for the girl upon waking up but found her body on the ground floor. Frightened, he fled to his sister’s house in Kalwa.
