Gita Press, a renowned publisher of Hindu religious texts, finds itself grappling with a shortage of Ramcharitmanas, a version of Ramayana, for the first time in nearly 50 years. The scarcity is attributed to a soaring demand preceding the Ram Mandir Pranpratishtha ceremony scheduled to be held in Ayodhya on January 22.
Lalmani Tiwari, the manager of Gita Press based in Gorakhpur, addressed the shortage issue on Friday, citing constraints in the form of limited space and infrastructure. The overwhelming demand has posed a challenge for Gita Press to meet the supply requirements for the revered epic 'Ramcharitmanas.'
Amidst this scarcity, several acharyas from various parts of the country have come together in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 11-day 'anushthan' leading up to the 'pranpratishtha.' A majority of these spiritual leaders express a shared conviction that the resolution is a collective effort to usher in the 'Ramrajya' or a golden era in the nation.
