Six coaches of a goods train derailed near Daniyawan on the Islampur-Fatuha railway section of the Danapur Railway Division in Bihar late on Friday night. Due to this, five trains had to be canceled. This has also caused a change in the route of many trains.
Many senior railway officials have reached the spot and took stock of the situation. After the accident, 03224 Fatuha-Rajgir Passenger, 03395 Islampur-Patna Passenger, 03237 Hilsa-Fatuha Passenger, 03631 Natesar-Fatuha Passenger, and 03272 Patna-Islampur Passenger trains have been canceled.
Islampur-New Delhi Magadh Express was diverted via Islampur-Natesar-Rajgir-Bakhtiarpur-Fatuha while New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Express was partially terminated at Fatuha. Islampur-Hatia Express will be partially started from Fatuha.
Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway Saraswati Chandra said that around 3:00 am, six coaches of a goods train derailed near Daniyawan station on the Fatuha-Islampur railway line.
Due to this, the operation of trains in this section has been disrupted. To restore the operation, an accident relief vehicle from Danapur has reached Daniyawan and work is being done to normalize the operation.
