Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
A goods train carrying iron ore derailed late Tuesday night in Peddapalli district, Telangana, severely disrupting train operations in the region. The derailment took place between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam stations around 10 p.m., when 11 out of the 44 wagons of the train derailed. The train was transporting iron ore when it went off the tracks, leading to significant damage and disruption.
In response to the incident, 37 trains have been affected along the route. This includes the cancellation of 20 passenger trains, with four partially cancelled. Furthermore, 10 passenger trains were diverted to alternate routes to mitigate the disruption. Two trains have been rescheduled to operate at later times, and three other trains have been regulated at various stations along the route due to the blockage caused by the derailment.
The South Central Railway (SCR) zone has been working to restore normalcy. Emergency response teams have been deployed to remove the derailed wagons and clear the track. The repair work on the damaged track is ongoing, with a focus on resuming train operations as soon as possible. Additionally, safety checks are being conducted along the affected stretch to assess and prevent future incidents.
SCR officials have advised travelers to check the status of their trains before departure, as further delays or cancellations may occur. Passengers are urged to stay updated through station announcements or the official SCR website. The restoration work continues, and efforts are being made to minimize disruptions to the daily train schedule in the coming days.
