Government representatives will help fill Annapurna forms door-to-door: CM Suvendu Adhikari

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari sought to allay concerns surrounding the Annapurna Scheme by assuring that government representatives would visit the homes of beneficiaries to assist them with filling out application forms and completing the required formalities. Addressing apprehensions regarding the scheme, he appealed to the public not to believe rumours and stated that all eligible women would receive the benefits provided under the programme. He said government personnel would conduct door-to-door outreach to ensure that beneficiaries receive the necessary assistance during the application process.

The Chief Minister stated that there was no need for eligible beneficiaries to be concerned about the application procedure, as government representatives would provide support at the household level. He reiterated that rumours and misinformation regarding the scheme should be ignored and emphasized that all eligible women would be covered under the programme. According to him, the administration is taking steps to facilitate smooth implementation and ensure that beneficiaries are able to complete the required documentation.

Adhikari further stated that the government is committed to ensuring that financial assistance under the Annapurna Scheme reaches only genuine beneficiaries. He said verification procedures are being carried out as part of the implementation process to identify eligible recipients accurately. According to the Chief Minister, these checks are intended to prevent ineligible individuals, including men, from receiving benefits meant exclusively for women under the scheme.
