Governor CV Ananda Bose visited SSKM hospital on Thursday around 2 pm for treatment. He entered the ENT department and stayed there for about 50 minutes. It has been reported that he sought medical attention for a throat problem, which has caused his voice to change tone during speeches, making it difficult for listeners to understand him. The governor did not make any public statement about the visit.
Sources indicate that the governor's throat is congested, prompting his visit to SSKM. The hospital is reportedly the only one in the state with a voice analyzer. Doctors at the hospital conducted necessary tests and examinations to identify the problem.
It is worth noting that the previous governor, Jagdeep Dhankhar, also sought throat treatment at SSKM for an accumulation of phlegm in his throat. During his visit, a laryngoscopy examination was performed, and he was pleased with the hospital's services.
Bose's recent visit to the same department in SSKM follows his dental treatment at Ahmed Dental College in Sealdah a few days prior. The governor initially went to a private hospital but was taken aback by the cost and later opted for the government-run dental college, which he found satisfactory.
