West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi has sprung into action, moving to streamline the administrative functions of Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan). Seeking to fill several high-profile vacancies that have remained open for years, the Governor's office has sent an official communication to Nabanna.
According to sources at Lok Bhavan, the Governor has requested a panel of officers to fill five critical positions. These include the post of Secretary to the Governor, for which an IAS officer has been sought, along with a Special Secretary, two Joint Secretaries, and a Deputy Secretary.
For the latter, the state government has been asked to provide the names of three WBCS officers from whom one will be selected. Nabanna is reportedly treating the request with urgency and is expected to finalize the names within the week.
