West Bengal Governor visited Durgapur's Benachiti Market after meeting the President during the latter’s Dhanbad tour. At Andal Airport, the Governor and State Law and Justice Minister Moloy Ghatak exchanged greetings with the President before the Governor proceeded to Durgapur.
In Benachiti Market, the Governor toured the vegetable and fruit sections, spoke to sellers and buyers, and made vegetable purchases himself. He also interacted with the general public, enquiring about the market situation and local conditions. During the visit, he handed out chocolates to people present in the market.
The Governor stated, “If you talk to people directly, you can get a sense of the market. That’s why I came directly to the market and spoke to everyone.” The visit witnessed public engagement from both vendors and customers during the Governor's walk through the market.
