Bollywood actor Govinda has responded to widespread speculation about his marriage with Sunita Ahuja, following reports suggesting that the couple is heading for a divorce after 37 years. Dismissing the rumors, the Hero No. 1 star stated, “These are only business talks going… I am in the process of starting my films.” His statement comes after days of social media buzz about alleged marital discord and claims of an affair.

Govinda’s manager, Sashi Sinha, acknowledged that there have been family-related issues but denied any confirmed separation. “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it, and Govinda is in the process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it,” Sinha stated.

Adding to the controversy, Sunita Ahuja recently revealed that she and Govinda are living separately. She explained that the couple owns two homes and that she prefers to stay in their flat with their children, while Govinda often spends time at their bungalow due to his late-night social gatherings. “He loves talking, so he’ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them,” she said, clarifying that their living arrangement is based on lifestyle differences rather than marital discord.

In another statement, Sunita expressed concerns over Govinda’s lack of work in recent years and the impact it might have on their relationship. “Earlier, he was busy with films, but now that he is not working, I fear he might have an affair. People tend to lose control after 60,” she said. While she admitted to dealing with rumors about his alleged linkups in the past, she noted that his career kept him occupied and away from such distractions.
