A government bus on the S30 route lost control and crashed into the bus stand at Wipro More in Salt Lake in the morning. The bus veered off the road and broke through the structure of the stand, coming to a stop inside it.
The incident occurred during peak office hours, causing temporary disruption in traffic movement in the area. No injuries have been reported so far. Several regular commuters were present at the stand at the time of the crash but managed to move away in time.
Police reached the spot and used a crane to remove the bus from the area. The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed. Authorities are inspecting the extent of structural damage to the stand. Vehicular movement was restored after a brief pause, with traffic police managing flow on the affected stretch.
