Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived in the national capital for a two-day state visit, marking the first bilateral visit from Greece to India at the Head of State or Head of Government level in 15 years. During his visit, Mitsotakis was accorded a formal guard of honor at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and he, along with his wife Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis, was welcomed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Greek Prime Minister expressed the importance of the strategic partnership between Greece and India, emphasizing the significance of the bilateral discussions with PM Modi.
Mitsotakis, who is the chief guest and keynote speaker at the Raisina Dialogue 2024, began his visit with a warm reception by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi. The Greek Prime Minister's commitment to enhancing ties between India and Greece was acknowledged by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Bilateral discussions between Mitsotakis and PM Modi are scheduled, with the Indian Prime Minister also hosting a luncheon in honor of the visiting dignitary.
