Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Metro services on Kolkata Metro’s Green Line were disrupted on Tuesday evening following a sudden technical fault that occurred at 5:51 PM. Due to the disruption, truncated metro services are currently operating only between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations and separately between Salt Lake Stadium and Salt Lake Sector V stations. Metro authorities stated that engineers were immediately deployed to address the issue and restore normal operations at the earliest.
As a result of the technical problem, metro services at Phoolbagan and Sealdah stations remain suspended. Passengers travelling across the Green Line faced inconvenience due to the disruption in through connectivity between the two operational stretches. Metro officials confirmed that the issue affected regular movement of trains across the corridor.
According to metro authorities, technical teams are actively working on the fault restoration process. Officials stated that efforts are underway to resume full services across the entire Green Line network as soon as possible. No further operational details or estimated restoration timeline had been officially announced at the time of reporting.
