In a shocking incident, two software engineers fell victim to a terrifying blackmail and robbery scheme through the popular gay dating application Grindr. The suspect, identified as Afridi, allegedly lured the victims to the Bholanagar area of Banjara Hills on two separate occasions.
Police authorities have reported that Afridi recorded nude videos of the men under duress, using a knife to intimidate them and later demanding money, wallets, and jewelry. Disturbingly, the accused also threatened to make the explicit videos public, causing immense distress to the victims.
Afridi, who had previously been booked under the Preventive Detention Act, is now the subject of an intense manhunt as law enforcement agencies race to apprehend him.
