A division bench of Justice Subrata Talukdar and Justice Supratim Bhattacharya on Friday declined urgent hearing, saying there was no hurry.
The summer vacation is starting in the High Court from Monday. Before that there is a holiday on Saturday and Sunday. There are several prescheduled cases on Friday. The bench said that therefore they would not be able to hear Abhishek's plea on Friday. After this, the petition of Abhishek and Kuntal was returned to the Chief Justice.
It is noteworthy that a single bench of Justice Amrita Sinha has ordered that the central agency can interrogate Abhishek and Kuntal face-to-face if they want in the corruption case.
