A tragic incident unfolded amidst the rains and dust storm in Mumbai on Monday evening, as a massive hoarding collapsed onto the BPCL Petrol Pump located opposite the Adani Project in Pantnagar, Ghatkopar. The calamity resulted in significant destruction and casualties, prompting an urgent search and rescue operation to extricate individuals trapped beneath the debris.
The collapse, occurring around 04:30 PM according to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, took place at the Police Ground Petrol Pump situated on the Eastern Express Highway in Ghatkopar East. Reports indicate that approximately 10-15 individuals have been admitted to Rajawadi Hospital, with rescue efforts underway by multiple agencies including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Police, and 108 Ambulance services.
