Horrific incident in Rajasthan: Woman Stripped Naked and paraded, three detained

A shocking incident has unfolded in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district, where a tribal woman was subjected to a brutal assault, stripped naked, and paraded through her village, allegedly by her husband. The distressing episode, captured in a video, shows a man, purportedly the husband, forcibly undressing the 21-year-old woman outside their residence as she desperately called for help.

Key details of this distressing incident include:

1. Suspected Affair: According to the police, the assault on the woman was instigated by suspicions of her involvement in a relationship with another man. This alleged extramarital affair reportedly triggered the vicious attack.

2. Detentions and Potential Arrests: Law enforcement authorities have detained three individuals in connection with the incident and anticipate further arrests in the coming hours. The investigation into this heinous crime is actively underway.

3. Outrage and Swift Response: The incident has provoked widespread outrage and condemnation. Rajasthan's Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra has revealed that six teams have been formed to apprehend the accused, with Pratapgarh's Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar leading efforts on the ground.

Rajasthan's Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot promptly condemned the incident in a late-night tweet, instructing the DGP to dispatch the ADG Crime to the scene and take the strictest possible action. He emphasized that such criminals have no place in a civilized society and pledged swift legal proceedings, including fast-track court trials.

Political figures have also weighed in on the issue, with JP Nadda expressing shock over the incident and criticizing the governance in Rajasthan for what he perceives as negligence toward women's safety. The incident has ignited concerns about the state's commitment to addressing gender-based violence and ensuring women's security.
