On Monday night, the Ecopark police recovered the body of a housewife, Suman Devi, from her home in the Hatiara Naskarpara area. The body was found on her bed with her throat slit and covered in blood. The police seized a sickle from the scene, which is believed to be the weapon used in the crime. The deceased lived with her husband, their child, the elderly father-in-law, and her maternal uncle in the same house. Following the discovery, family members filed a complaint accusing the maternal uncle of the murder. Since the incident, the uncle has been absconding and has not been found by the police.
