In a tragic incident in the Kalupur Gram Panchayat area of North 24 Parganas Bongaon police station, a husband is accused of fatally stabbing his wife at their daughter's house. According to police sources, Vishwajeet Mandal, a resident of Charuigachhi village, allegedly attacked his wife Purnima Mandal, who was visiting their daughter Mau Mandal in Khadar Mat area. The attack occurred suddenly, resulting in severe injuries to Purnima, who was rushed to Bongaon Mahakuma Hospital and declared brought dead by doctors.
According to the deceased family, the Purnima visited her daughter last Thusrday and Vishwajit visited Mau's residence yesterday evening.
Family sources reveal that there had been ongoing tension between the couple, leading to a registered divorce case. Mau Mandal, the daughter, stated that her father came to their house unexpectedly, and the tragic incident unfolded. The Bongaon police station is actively searching for Vishwajeet Mandal, who is currently absconding.
