During his speech, Imran Khan emphasized that PTI does not intend to create animosity between the people and the army, but he alleged that the desire to do so comes from the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). He expressed distress at the perceived repetition of the events that occurred in East Pakistan, indicating a deliberate action. Imran Khan raised concerns about the treatment of his supporters, stating that it would only breed resentment.
The PTI chairman reiterated that his party has never resorted to violence, even when there was an assassination attempt against him. He claimed that the violent incidents on May 9 were orchestrated and vowed to approach the high court for an independent investigation. Imran Khan suggested that these incidents were being used as a pretext to ban PTI.
Despite the crackdown on his supporters, Imran Khan expressed confidence in PTI's unity and stated that the party's candidates would still emerge victorious in the elections. He criticized the police's actions as a tactic to intimidate people and prevent them from protesting against injustice. The ex-PM mentioned the casualties and injuries during peaceful protests.
Responding to the claims of terrorists hiding at his residence, Imran Khan stressed the importance of a proper legal process. He called for a lawful investigation with a duly obtained search warrant instead of forceful entry or unwarranted actions. Imran Khan offered to resolve the issues through dialogue but emphasized the urgency of holding elections as the only way forward.
