On the eighth day, the indefinite strike by all three organizations Nirsa Hiva Parivahan Swavalambi Samiti, Aam Hiva Honor Association, and Nirsa Hiva Association MPL continued against the MPL transporter and management.
They are demanding a 20 percent price increase for Hiva. As a result, the transport of MPL shad and coal has come to a complete halt. In support of these three organizations, the owners of Dhanbad and Baghmara who belong to the Haiwa organization came to the dharna site and extended their support.
According to presidents Ujjwal Tiwari, Hareram Aggarwal, and Lalu Ojha and patron Sanjay Singh associated with the organization, Nirsa zonal officer Nitin Shivam Gupta, MPL official Gopal Varnwal, two transporters, all logistics, Sanjay Industry and the organization in tripartite talks to end the movement.
Office bearers Ujjwal Tiwari, Hariram Agarwal, Lalu Ojha, Sanjay Singh, Mannu Singh, and a large number of Hiva owners held a meeting on Tuesday which remained inconclusive.
The carriers rejected the request for a 20% increase in fares in the negotiations. Agitating leaders say there has been no increase in MPL highway fares for the past 13 years while inflation is at its peak.
Once a meeting was held under the leadership of the SDO regarding the increase in fares, which remained inconclusive. Now comes the crusade. The movement will be more intense.
Former MLA Arup Chatterjee also supported the movement by justifying the demands of the agitators.
