The Indian men's hockey team put on a spectacular display of resilience and skill, overcoming an early deficit to secure a commanding 4-1 victory over Malaysia in a crucial Super 4 match of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup in Rajgir. The win brings India back into contention after a challenging start to the Super 4s stage.

The match began with a jolt for the hosts as Malaysia, known for their aggressive play, took the lead in the very first minute. Shafiq Hassan showcased his terrific form by finding a breakthrough almost immediately, silencing the home crowd and putting the pressure squarely on the Indian side.

However, the Indian team, displaying their characteristic grit, refused to be rattled. They regrouped and began to press forward, creating opportunities and controlling possession. Their persistence paid off in the second quarter when veteran midfielder Manpreet Singh stepped up to the challenge, scoring a crucial equaliser that swung the momentum back in India's favour.

The equaliser seemed to unlock the Indian offense. Sukhjeet Singh and Shilananda Lakra capitalized on the momentum, adding two more goals to the scoreline. Their combined efforts saw India take a solid 3-1 lead, leaving the Malaysian defense struggling to contain the attacking onslaught.

As the third quarter unfolded, India continued to assert their dominance. Vivek Prasad Sagar joined the scoring party with a brilliant goal, extending India's lead to 4-1. This goal cemented India's control of the match, as they maintained a tight defensive structure to thwart any comeback attempts from Malaysia.

The final quarter saw India comfortably hold onto their lead, showcasing a disciplined and well-coordinated defensive performance. The Malaysians, despite their best efforts, were unable to penetrate the Indian backline and find a way back into the game. The final whistle blew with the score standing at 4-1, a testament to India's exceptional comeback and commanding performance.
