India beats Zimbabwe by 23 runs; Washington Sundar clinches 3 wickets

India triumph by a 23-run victory over Zimbabwe in the third T20 International, taking a 2-1 lead in the series. The match, held at Harare Sports Club, saw India setting a challenging target of 183 runs for the hosts.

Shubman Gill was the standout performer with a stellar knock of 66 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal also made a significant contribution, scoring a brisk 36 runs. His partnership with Gill was crucial in setting up a solid foundation for India. Rituraj Gaikwad scored a 49 out of 28 balls. 

Chasing 183, Zimbabwe put up a spirited fight but fell short by 23 runs. The Indian bowling attack, led by Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan, proved too unbeatable for the hosts. Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 crucial wickets and putting the brakes on Zimbabwe’s scoring. Avesh Khan provided excellent support, taking 2 wickets and maintaining pressure on the Zimbabwean batsmen.
