India's two most wanted gangsters arrested in Georgia and US

In a cross-continental coup that's got Indian law enforcement buzzing, two of the nation's most elusive gangsters—Venkatesh Garg and Bhanu Rana—have been arrested thousands of miles from home, their globetrotting crime sprees finally hitting with handcuffs and deportation orders. Garg, a Haryana native  was nabbed in Georgia by a Indian security agency officials including Haryana Police. Rana, the shadowy arm of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate, got nabbed from the US. These aren't small-time operators; Garg's tied to the cold-blooded 2023 murder of a Bahujan Samaj Party leader in Gurugram, boasting over a dozen cases from extortion rackets to youth recruitment for hits, and he's been scheming with gangster Kapil Sangwan resides overseas.

Rana, hailing from Karnal, has his fingerprints on grenade blasts in Punjab and a web of violence stretching across Haryana, Delhi, and beyond. Garg is a resident of Haryana's Narayangarh. Currently living in Georgia, Garg has more than 10 criminal cases registered against him in India. He was recruiting youth from Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and other states in North India while pocketing extortion hauls alongside Sangwan, the Delhi Police had arrested four shooters of Sangwan who were involved in the shooting at the house and farmhouse of a builder last month in October.

Indian security agencies with Haryana's top cops, who've been on Garg's trail like bloodhounds, coordinated seamlessly leveraging intel that exposed his every move from safe houses abroad. Garg with deportation looming to drag him into the harsh light of Indian interrogation rooms where old scores get settled.Rana's capture adds another layer of menace to the saga, his Bishnoi ties evoking the ghost of high-profile vendettas. Long entrenched in the US, this Karnal-born enforcer's name appeared earlier in a chilling June grenade bust by Punjab's STF, where two goons were caught red-handed with enough firepower to light up a block—both were acting at the behest of Rana. As US authorities prepares their handover, Indian agencies are poring over seized gadgets and ledgers, hoping to crack open accomplices still stateside.
