Kolkata Airport makes history by welcoming first Giant Airbus Beluga XL
Over half-a-dozen airport directors, including those overseeing Delhi and Jaipur airports, have reported receiving threatening emails, claiming imminent bombings at major airports across the country. The alarming message, received around 10:23 pm on Wednesday night, specifically targeted Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad airports.
The situation escalated at Jaipur Airport, where officials discovered the threatening email in the official customer care inbox, prompting immediate action by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials. Collaborating with local police, a comprehensive investigation was launched, involving the thorough combing and sanitization of the airport premises and flights.
As of now, the police have not uncovered any suspicious objects during their search, leading to the filing of a written complaint by CISF with the Jaipur Airport police station. Simultaneously, an ongoing probe aims to identify the sender of the threatening email addressed to airport directors through the customer care ID.
